“And one has to understand that braveness is not the absence of fear but rather the strength to keep on going forward despite the fear.”

Sydney 2000 Paralympics
70,000 people… 19 years of training... 6 Throws… 1 stadium… and me sitting at one end of Sydney Olympic Stadium in my Australian uniform.. It all came down to that one moment….. if ever there was a time to panic.. this was it. But instead… a calm came over me and I could not hear the 70,000 people cheering me on… I had complete focus…. Those 19 years of training all came down to this moment.. and 6 throws is all I had to make a difference...
Greatest Achievement
The Sydney 2000 Paralympics stands as my greatest achievement to date—a moment that took years of dedication, sacrifice, and resilience to achieve. It wasn’t an easy journey. There were countless ups and downs, but each challenge shaped me into the athlete I needed to be to step onto that world stage. The roar of the crowd, the pride of representing my country, and the culmination of years of hard work all came together in that one unforgettable moment.
Now, 25 years later, I’m ready to take on a new challenge. With the same determination and fire that carried me to Sydney, I’m working towards making history again—this time on the ice. It’s a journey filled with hard work, new skills, and the undeniable excitement of chasing a dream all over again.
Because for me, the greatest achievements aren’t just about the medals—they’re about the journey, the lessons, and the belief that anything is possible.

What It Takes
Success isn’t just about talent—it’s about dedication, resilience, and the willingness to push past limits. It takes countless hours of training, an unwavering focus on your goals, and the determination to rise after every setback.
What it takes is grit—embracing the challenges, learning from failures, and finding strength in the process. It’s the early mornings, the late nights, and the moments when giving up seems easier but perseverance wins.
Above all, it takes passion. The kind that drives you to keep going, to dream bigger, and to turn “what if” into “I did.” That’s what it takes to achieve greatness—and I’m ready to give it my all.
From the Circle to the Ice: My Paralympic Comeback
Twenty five years ago, I stood proudly on the world stage as a Paralympian. Competing in the Sydney 2000 Paralympics was an unforgettable experience, one that cemented my love for sport, competition, and pushing the limits of what I thought possible. But life, as it often does, threw a few curveballs. I stepped away from competing to focus on my health and build a business that became my passion. However, the drive to compete never left me—because once an athlete, always an athlete.
Fast forward to today, and I’m taking on an entirely new challenge: para ice hockey. Switching from summer sports to a winter sport is no small leap, but it’s one that excites me every day. I’m starting from the bottom, learning new skills, adapting to the ice, and training harder than I ever thought possible. The competition is fierce, and the road back to the top is long, but that’s what makes it worth it.
After overcoming health setbacks and building a thriving business, I’ve rediscovered my love for sport. The thrill of competition, the camaraderie of teammates, and the sheer joy of improving every day fuel me like nothing else. Whether I’m gliding across the ice or training at the gym, every moment brings me closer to my dream of competing in the Paralympics again—this time as a winter athlete.
I’ve documented my journey from my first throws in athletics to my current adventures in para ice hockey. I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions, embrace new challenges, and never stop believing in their potential.
This is my story—a journey of resilience, reinvention, and relentless determination. And the best part? I’m just getting started.
Join me as I chase new dreams and continue to defy limits.
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
― Thomas Edison
About Me
Being born with a disability was something out of my control, and I had to adapt to a world that challenged and tried to break me every day.
Always moving forward, I was determined and learned early that I might not have been able to change my environment around me but I could change the way I navigated through it.
